I agree with you, just having the text appear on the screen doesn’t do anything for retention – or connection. I believe it’s important for viewers to see YOU. Video is great for getting people to know, like, and trust you. But that have to see you to do it. Words flashing by on a screen sync’d to a narrated script just wont cut it.

I’d rather have an authentic video from a real person than an animated one any day.
